Abstract

Infectious diseases or diseases caused by microorganisms as bacteria are diseases that found in many people. Nosocomial infection (Hospital-Acquired Infection) is an infection acquired from a hospital or when the patient is hospitalized. Nosocomial infections are prevalent around the world with the highest incidence in underprivileged and developing countries because infectious diseases are still the main cause. Type of research is experimental disc diffusion test to see sensitivity of tabat barito leaf extract (Ficus deltoiea Jack) to growth of Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Population contained in this study is a pure strain of the bacterium Pseudomonas aeruginosa. While sample is part of the number and characteristics possessed by the population itself. This barito tabat leaf extract will be made with concentrations of 50%, 75%, and 100% Criteria for antibacterial power strength diameter of the inhibitory zone of 5 mm categorized as weak, inhibitory zone of 5-10 mm categorized as medium, inhibitory zone of 10-20 mm categorized as strong and inhibitory zone of more than 20 mm categorized as very strong. Results of research explain percentages of tabat barito leaf sample was not found to be an inhibitory zone that inhibits bacterium Pseudomonas aeruginosa. In this study it was concluded that results were weak.
