STRATEGIC RE-ALIGNMENT:1 ALTERNATIF INDONESIA DALAM MENGIMBANGI ANCAMAN ALIANSI FIVE POWERS DEFENSE ARRANGEMENT (FPDA)

Aliansi merupakan pilihan suatu negara untuk meningkatkan kekuatan relatif dalam menghadapi ancaman yang tidak bisa diatasi oleh kekuatan internal. Malaysia dalam aliansi FPDA telah menjadi ancaman yang tidak seimbang bagi Indonesia. Namun, Indonesia sendiri tidak mungkin membentuk kontra aliansi karena kebijakan politik luar negeri bebas aktifnya. Esai ini ditujukan untuk mengkaji potensi allignment (selain aliansi, seperti : koalisi, kemitraan strategis dan komunitas keamanan) untuk mengimbangi ancaman kekuatan aliansi Malaysia dalam FPDA yang dianggap mengganggu kepentingan nasional Indonesia.
