Focus and Scope

Jurnal Sumber Daya Air is a journal aims to be a peer-reviewed platform and an authoritative source of information. We publish original research papers, review articles and case studies focused on Water, and Water resources as well as related topics. All papers are peer-reviewed by at least two referees. Jurnal Sumber Daya Air is managed to be issued twice in every volume. The Scopes of Jurnal Sumber Daya Air are:

  • The fields of irrigation
  • Water quality and environment
  • Swamp  management
  • Water supply (Hidrologi)
  • Hydrology and water management (hidrologi)
  • Coastal fields (teknik pantai)
  • Fields of cultivation and sabo fields
  • Water resources information system

Peer Review Process

  • Providing written peer-review in a timely way on the scientific benefits and scientific value of the work, it is carried out by documenting the paper idea of the scientific publication.
  • Indicates the paper has a novelty, concise and relevant composition of work and rating, scientific accuracy, originality, and applications to the reader.
  • Avoid comments or personal criticism and refrain from direct author contact without editor permission.
  • Notify the immediate editor if you cannot review it in a timely way and provide the names of other potential partners.
  • Determine scientific achievement, originality, and scope of work; shows how to improve it, and recommends acceptance or rejection when using a rating scale.
  • Pay attention to all ethical concerns, such as substantial similarities between the last manuscripts and published papers or manuscripts submitted to other journals.
  • Alerts editors about any personal, financial or conflict of interest and decreased conflicts when reviewing possible conflicts.
  • Ensure that published articles comply with journal standards.
  • Protect readers from research that is wrong or flawed and studies that cannot be validated by others.
  • Be wary of way to cite relevant work by other scientists
  • Type of peer review: Submitted manuscripts will generally be reviewed by two to three experts who will be asked to evaluate whether the manuscript is scientifically sound and coherent, whether it duplicates the already published works, and whether or not the manuscript is sufficiently clear for publication. The method is Double blind peer review.

Journal History

Jurnal Sumber Daya Air is a forum for information in the field of Water Resources in the form of research results, literature studies and scientific writings related to integrated Water Resources Management which includes scientific fields including: irrigation, water quality and environment, swamp management, water supply, hydrology and water management, coastal, sabo, and water resources information systems. It was first published in 1986, with a frequency of publication twice a year in May and October in print and electronic versions. Jurnal Sumber Daya Air is published by the Directorate of Water Resources Engineering Development, Ministry of Public Works and Housing. In 2020 for issue 16 No.2, there was a change in the name of the journal publishing institution from the Water Resources Research and Development Center to the Directorate of Water Resources Engineering Development based on the Regulation of the Minister of Public Works and Housing Number 13 of 2020 concerning Organization and Work Procedures of the Ministry of Public Works and Housing. Jurnal Sumber Daya Air in collaboration with Professional Organizations such as Himpunan Ahli Teknik Hidraulik Indonesia (HATHI), Komite Nasional Indonesia untuk Bendungan (KNIBB), Komite Nasional Indonesia untuk Irigasi dan Drainase (KNI-ID).

Jurnal Sumber Daya Air was accredited by LIPI - Decree of the Head of the Indonesian Institute of Sciences Number 743 / E / 2012, dated August 7, 2012, concerning the Scientific Journal Accreditation results.

Jurnal Sumber Daya Air was Accredited as a Scientific Periodical Journal - Decree of the Head of the Indonesian Institute of Sciences Number 679 / AU3 / P2MI-LIPI / 07/2015, dated July 15, 2015, concerning the Scientific Journal Accreditation results.
