Submissions

Jurnal Pertahanan: Media Informasi tentang Kajian dan Strategi Pertahanan yang Mengedepankan Identity, Nasionalism dan Integrity has a fully web-based system for the submission and review of manuscripts. Submissions should be prepared in accordance with the Author Guidelines and uploaded to https://jurnal.idu.ac.id/index.php/DefenseJournal/user/register. All correspondence, including notification of the Editor's decision and requests for revision, takes place by e-mail and Open Journal System (OJS), removing the need for a hard-copy paper trail.

All papers must be written in clear and grammatically correct English. Manuscripts may be returned to authors without a scientific assessment if they do not meet all submission requirements, if they are not in the correct format, or cannot be downloaded reliably.

Please note that the corresponding and all submitting authors MUST register before submitting an article. You must be logged in to your personal account to submit an article.

Article Types and Word Count

The specific article types including Research Paper and Review Papers. All papers should be between 3000 – 7000 words in length from Introduction to Conclusion.

Title

• The title is no more than 25 words in length and should be in 14-point normal Cambria.
• The title should be Informative, Reflecting the Core Content: Short, Concise, and Clear.
• Abbreviations are acceptable in headings if they have been defined previously, though it may be preferable to rearrange the wording of headings to avoid starting with abbreviations.

All names are listed based on the following format:

Abstract

The abstract should include general significance and conceptual advance of the work clearly accessible to a broad readership. The abstract should explain the study's background, aims, methods, findings/results/conclusion. The abstract should be a maximum of 300 words. The text of the abstract section should be in 11 pt normal Cambria

Keywords

Up to 5 keywords are recommended; no more or less. The keywords are listed in alphabetical order. Font type and size: Cambria 11 pt.

Text

The body of all text plus headings and sub-headings in the article should follow Cambria 12pt with 1,15 line spacing, without after-paragraph spacing, and justified on both sides.

Article Section

• Introduction

Explain how you addressed the issue or the problem, the urgency, and clearly state the aims of your study at the end of the Introduction Section. 

• Methodology

This section may be divided by subheadings. The methods section describes the steps followed in the execution of the study and also provides a brief justification for the research methods used.

• Result/Findings and Discussion

This section may be divided by subheadings. Results should be clear and concise. Discussion should explore the significance of the results of the work, not repeat them.

• Conclusions, Recommendations, and Limitations

State the main points of your arguments/statements/results. Conclusions are written briefly, concisely, and clearly. It is crucial to fulfil/answer the aims of the study. The conclusion section should lead the reader to the critical matter of the study. It also can be followed by suggestions or recommendations related to further research

Nomenclature and unit:

Use the international system of units (SI). 

Math formulae:

Equations must be editable text and not as images. Add number for math formulae.

Tables:

Must be editable text and not as images. Add number and caption. Each table must have a caption fully explaining the content with the table number i.e. Table 1, Table 2, etc.

Figures:

Must be fix as "in line with text". Add number and caption. Each figure must have a caption fully explaining the content.

Citations and References

Citations and references in the Jurnal Pertahanan: Media Informasi tentang Kajian dan Strategi Pertahanan yang Mengedepankan Identity, Nasionalism dan Integrity must use APA Style.

The use of the tool Mendeley's Manager App is a must.
