Water is a basic human need for survival, one of which is in the field of fisheries. River water can contain heavy metal lead in it. The heavy metal content of lead in water can have a fatal impact on public health. This study is to determine the level of lead in river water, goldfish, tilapia, and catfish in cages in Rempanga Village, Kutai Kartanegara. The type of research used is descriptive research. The samples in this study were river water, goldfish, tilapia, and catfish found in 3 cages totaling 300 ml of river water and 900 grams of fish samples. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling is the selection of samples with predetermined criteria. The variable in this study is the level of heavy metal lead with data analysis using univariate analysis. Based on the results obtained from the examination of lead levels using an atomic absorption spectrophotometer, it shows that lead levels in 3 river water samples contain lead on average <0.017 mg/L while in all goldfish, tilapia, and catfish samples were not detected to contain lead because the tool has a limit of detection value of <0.012 mg/Kg.
